Greetings from Virginia!

Thank you for your interest in the Deseret herd of Lamanchas.

I started raising Lamanchas when I was a youth but I eventually left home and sold out of my herd. Many years later I came home and met my wonderful husband. We settled here in Giles County to be close to our families. My father passed away in 2004 and left my mom, Jean Lucas, caring for the Kismet Nubian farm by herself. My husband and I moved in with her to help her. I started showing goats with her at that same time.  My love of goats came back full force and in 2005 I got my first Lamancha from Aspen Hills. The next year I received several does from Pine-Springs Lamanchas and a buck from Brookwood Lamanchas. I feel I have done very well with my breeding program. I am breeding for an animal that resembles those lovely does my mom breeds-- a long and tall animal with a great mammary system that shows and milks well.  Please enjoy your visit to the virtual barn and feel free to contact me for more information.
